New Profession

When no jobs were available, Michael Superczynski '69 was forced into retirement after 40 years in Corporate IT. One of his favorite roles has always been as an Analyst/Programmer because he likes "creating something from nothing." He taught himself Objective-C and Xcode and began working on an iOS iPad app in June of 2010.

In 2011 he formed HyperNova Software and recently released the app SuperScanner! to the iTunes App Store. It is the only 16 Channel Scanner Radio designed for the iPad.

Lt. Col. William H. Dunning, father of Bill '77, Ray '78, Chris '80 and Sarah '81 Dunning, passed away on August 3, 2013. Bill held positions in Washington, D.C. and had four tours in Turkey. He was proud to speak Turkish fluently. According to Chris, "Both the culture and our experiences there in the Turkish and American communities are close to our hearts."

Karen Lee Parker (Gamble) '85 and Judy Parker '92, lost their father in April after a long battle with Alzheimer's. William Parker served in the United States Air Force and State Department. He spoke seven languages and taught himself electrical engineering.

Todd Kontny '91 welcomed son, Taylor, on May 22, 2013. Big sister, Bronte, is shown feeding her little brother.

Mother Caroline and baby Taylor are doing just fine.

Jordan (closest girl name to Gordon) Tempsie Welch, daughter of Gordy Welch '73 graduated from Plano East High School on June 12, 2013.

Jordan was a member of the National Honor Society.

Her basket ball team was first in all-district basketball.

She set the school record and won district for the second time in 3 years for the shot put in track.

Karen Olson (Arnold) ’72 and Tim Arnold ’71 were in Dallas, TX June 15, 2013 for the wedding of their son, Andrew to Carli Klaeveman.

Andy is a math teacher and Carli works for Morgan Stanley in Dallas.

According to Tim it was a beautiful day with many former Trojans in attendance- Mark and Brian Arnold, Kathy, Wendy and Kurt Olson.

Gordy Welch '73 is pleased to announce the marriage of his son Michael Gabriel Patrick Welch to Rachel Trujillo on Friday, June 21, 2013 in Albuquerque, NM.
