We received news of Hilary's death from her best friend, Barb Scott. She was with Hilary on Turkey Tour 2006.

"Hilary will be cremated and her ashes scattered at the ocean here in Florida, a river they loved to go to together, and some on their home property. Bob requests no flowers, but anyone who wishes can contribute to the scholarship fund established in Hilary's name." "We were surprised and saddened to hear of Hilary's death. Knew she had some health problems but had hoped they weren't that serious. Her friends and family kept a 28-hour vigil by her bedside so
she would never feel lonely. "I'll be missing her forever,"

I have very sad news about Jon Thomas, class of '67. He died
of a massive heart attack on Thursday evening. I know he was in
touch with some other people through Connections, so they need
to know. |

Jon was the president of the
Labor Council of New Mexico. He was very active in New Mexico
politics. He was starting a community radio station and a newspaper
when he passed.
He was involved in Native American affairs and attended Sundance
in South Dakota every year. He leaves a widow, Roxie, three daughters,
Sa'ida, Jorusha, and Rachel, and a grandson, Beau.
I want to thank everyone at Connections who found him again for
me. He was my best friend and I'll always treasure the time we
got to spend together for the last two years of his life. He's
irreplaceable and I'm devastated by his loss. |
