On Sunday, February 20, 2005 a group of
eighteen met at the A La Turca in San Francisco for lunch. According to
Anita Donohoe 66, "The food was excellent; I had Iskender Kebab with
the tomato sauce, melted butter and yoghurt! The borek, cacik and
patlican were excellent, as was everything we ordered. Efes beer
and Kavaklidere were available for our pleasure, but I had a oouple of
glasses of tea with a lump of sugar. There was Turkish music playing,
the flat screen TV broadcast Turkish soccer matches, the conversation
flowed, the company was good."
