Robert Lawson
Robert Ralph Dawson...Born in Sherman, Texas, August 28, 1945, passed away at his home in Midwest City, Oklahoma, on January 6, 2010. Bobby was a retired middle school teacher. He spent all of his teaching career serving our military and Department of Defense families in Europe and the Mediterranean theatres. Bobby loved to teach, and he loved to travel. His last years were spent in Midwest City, where he cared for his mother until her death in 2008. He is preceded in death by his mother, Ellen Malacha Dawson; and his father, Rockleigh S. Dawson. He is survived by his sister, Mary Ellen Cook and her husband Paul of Mesquite, Texas; his brother, Jim Dawson of Kingston, Oklahoma; his brother, Rockleigh Dawson, Jr. and his wife Polly of Houston, Texas; his godfather and Uncle, Gerald Sacra of Monrovia, California; his beloved cousin, Dianne Moentnish of Oklahoma City and many other cousins and nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Smith-Parks Funeral Home in Harrah, Oklahoma, on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at 10:00 AM, with a reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to charity of your choice. May he rest in peace.
