Temple Aphrodisias
Aphrodisias was full of sarcophagi—which means flesh eater—with
beautiful reliefs carved into the marble. We saw the Odeon, the theater,
baths and the well preserved stadium. When Aphrodisaias was a thriving
city, a part of the stadium wall was opened to let in camels for their
wrestling matches. Camel wrestling was a major sport, along with chariot
and foot races.
