here at Easter to pray at the tomb, which is inside the ruins.

olive press.

On the way to Aphrodisias,
a stop at this roadside fruit stand. The proprietor is setting
up another box of strawberries. The green plums in the foreground
are a favorite of the Turks.
This woman asked
that her face not be photographed, but allowed this one of her
preparing a glass of fresh pressed pomegranate juice. Absolutely
delicious!
This tent was at a
roadside stop. Gozleme is a Turkish fast food. A large circle
of pizza-like dough is baked on the top of a domed oven. Fresh
spinach and peyaz peynir are folded in, and it is a tasty treat.

not a large city such as Ankara. Therefore, the village setting
is to enhance the feast.
