Rescued Dachshund, Squidward, admiring his ornament. |

Seven children and eight grandchildren comprise the blended family of Jeannette Powers '68. She is happily re-married and enjoying retirement. "Life is good in Iowa." She looks forward to hearing from her Ankara friends.
Jill Park '71, and her husband, Scott, rescued a 3-year old mini Dachshund in October after losing their English Bulldog, Hazel. Squidward is timid, but thriving in his new home. All three are grateful to everyone at Northern California Dachshund Rescue for their hard work and dedication.
Since it was his first Christmas, as part of their family, they decided he needed his own ornament on their "Charlie Brown" tree.
Squidward agreed and wrote the following poem. Who knew he was handsome and talented?
My new ornament light and white,
I gaze at by the tree my height.
I wish I may, I wish I might,
Have a gigantic kibble bowl filled tonight. |
